V Anniversary of the International Award “Distributed power generation – great achievements” was held for the first time in the project history on the new site – in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and gathered over 120 representatives of energy enterprises, business and authorities. The official support of the Award was provided by the Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the business-community Business Russia.
In 2017, the Organizing Committee received 85 applications from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan - a record number of applications for the entire history of the project. The geography of Russian participants covered almost all regions of the country - from the Trans-Baikal Territory to North Ossetia. In honor of the five-year anniversary of the Prize, the number of nominations was expanded. To the traditional - "The best project in the field of distributed power generation up to 5 MW", "The best project in the field of distributed power generation with power capacity from 5 MW", "The best project in the field of alternative energy" and "Innovative development in the field of energy" - two special were introduced: "Investor of the Year in Energy" and "For Contribution to the Development of the Industry".
The Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Sergey Storchak, the First Deputy Plenipotentiary for the President of the Russain Federation on the Rights of entrepreneurs – Alexander Khuruji, the Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Dmitriy Kurochkin, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Energy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation – Sergey Yesyakov, the Executive Vice President of business-community “Business Russia” – Tatiana Mineeva and others participated in the ceremony. The award-2017 was widely supported in federal media: Publishing House "Komsomolskaya Pravda", IA "Federal "Press", the publication "Expert" and many others.
In 2016 the International Award “Distributed power generation – great achievements” was marked by a “move” to the capital of Russia. For the first time in the four-year history of the project the presentation of the main award of the competition - statuettes "Golden Lightning" - took place in Moscow: representatives of finalists from different regions of Russia and countries of the near abroad came to the capital. The solemn ceremony was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Yesyakov and President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, energy ombudsman of the Chelyabinsk region Maksim Zagornov.
In 2016, 52 projects from Russia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, the Republic of Belarus, Germany were announced for the Prize. The geography of Russian participants covered almost all regions of the country - from Khanty-Mansiysk and the Altai Territory to Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. The award was presented in four categories: " The best project in the field of distributed power generation up to 5 MW", "The best in the field of distributed power generation from 5 MW", "The best project in the field of alternative energy" and "Innovative development in the energy sector".
In 2015, the award “Distributed power generation – great achievements” acquired the status pf the international for the first time and was held in terms of the Vth annual energy forum "Strategy of joint access to the international energy market", organized by the Distributed power generation Association with support of the State Duma of Russian Federation Energy Committee, Ministry of Energy of Russian Federation and the Government of Chelyabinsk region. The event gathered in Chelyabinsk about 200 participants from different cities of Russia, as well as the Middle Abroad. On the agenda was the question: how, in the context of the sharply falling domestic demand for energy services, the consolidated efforts to enter the markets of other countries.
In the second part of the event, the International Award "Distributed power generation – great achievements " was presented. The Organizing Committee of the competition in 2015 received 73 applications from 9 countries. The geography of the participants covered not only the cities of Russia, but also foreign countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Poland, Japan, Nigeria, Sierra Leone. Russia at the contest was represented by Yakutsk, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Ufa, Tomsk, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Krasnogorsk, Krasnodar Territory, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
In 2015, to the traditional nominations - "The best project in the field of small power up to 5 MW", "The best project in the field of small power with a capacity of 5 MW", "The best project in the field of alternative energy" - a special nomination was added: "Innovative development in sphere of energy ". All the winners of the contest received a statuette "Golden Lightning". The ceremony ended with a colorful laser show.
In 2014, the award for the best project in the field of small distributed and alternative energy was the National award and was held within the framework of the International Energy Forum "Russian-Chinese Business Dialogue: Energy Partnership of the Two Countries" organized by the Distributed Power Generation Association with the support of the State Duma Energy Committee of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Chelyabinsk region. The event was attended by representatives of the leading energy companies of the Southern Urals and China. The main goal of the meeting is to discuss the prospects for the development of joint projects in the field of electric power industry, as well as to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of modernization of the region's energy infrastructure. The guest of honor of the forum was the General Consul of the People's Republic of China in Yekaterinburg Mr. Tian Yongxiang.
In 2014, the National Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" was presented in three categories: "Best Small-Scale Energy Project up to 5 MW", "Best Small-Scale Energy Project of 5 MW" and "Best Alternative Energy Project ". For the main award of the competition - the statuette "Golden Lightning" - 74 projects from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Tomsk, Saratov, Sochi, Krasnodar Territory, Chelyabinsk, Belgorod, Samara, Rybinsk, Novosibirsk fought. The winners were identified by a professional jury. For the first time the Expert Council of the Prize was headed by Sergey Yesyakov, Deputy Chairman of the Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
2013 was the year of the "birth" of the Regional Award " Distributed power generation – great achievements ". The first award in the Chelyabinsk region for the best projects in the field of distributed energy was established by the Ural Distributed Power Generation Association and took place in the framework of the III International Energy Forum "Distributed Energy: Results and Incentives of Development" in Chelyabinsk. The event gathered more than 200 participants from various regions of Russia and became a platform for constructive dialogue between representatives of business, science, public authorities and the public on the further development of the most important sector of the economy - small distributed energy. Foreign experts from Japan, Austria, Germany, the United States took part in the forum.
In 2013, the award was presented in two categories - "Best Distributed Energy Project" and "Best Expert in Small-Scale Energy". The competition aroused great interest in the region: in just a month there were more than fifty applications for participation. The desire to compete for the main prize of the competition - the statuette "Golden Lightning" - was expressed by both large companies engaged in the construction of small energy facilities and small research centers introducing innovative technologies in the field of renewable energy sources.
The winners were identified by a professional jury. It included leading experts in the field of distributed energy, market leaders and representatives of influential industrial organizations of the Urals Federal District. The jury of the First Regional Competition "Distributed power generation - great achievements" was Elena Murzina, Minister of Economic Development of the Chelyabinsk Region.
