on International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements»

1. Terms and definitions

1.1. Distributed Power Generation Association (hereinafter — the Organizer) is a non-profit organization managing the Award and organizing the nomination process within the framework of this Regulations.

1.2. The award winner — an honorary title, awarded to a legal body or natural person for significant achievements in the field of distributed power generation.

1.3. Short-list of the Award — list of nominees admitted for the competition by the Organizer in accordance with the present Regulations.

1.4. The International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements» is an independent prize awarded to companies and organizations that have achieved significant indicators and performance in the field of distributed power generation in Russia and abroad.

1.5. International Expert Council — the body annually selecting the winners of the Award from among the nominees.

1.6. The Award nominee is a legal body or natural person applying for the Award. Nominees admitted by the Organizer in accordance with these Regulations to the competition form the short-list of the Award.

1.7. Nomination process — an annual process consisting of the main stages as follows: information newsletter on application acceptance start, submission of applications for the Award, examination and election of the Award winners by the International Expert Council, Award ceremony.

2. General provisions

2.1. The International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements» (hereinafter — the Award) is an independent prize awarded to companies and organizations that have achieved significant indicators and performance in the field of distributed power generation in Russia and abroad. Winners shall be determined by an independent vote of the members of the International Expert Council for the Award.

2.2. Nominations of the International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements»:

2.2.1. «Best distributed power generation project — power capacity up to 5 MW»;

2.2.2. «Best distributed power generation project — power capacity over 5 MW»;

2.2.3. «Best alternative energy project»;

2.2.4. «Advanced development in the energy sector»;

2.2.5. «Investor of the year in the energy sector»;

2.2.6. «For contribution into the energy sector development».

2.3. Organizers reserve the right to submit special nominations of the Award.

2.4. The objectives of the Award are:

2.4.1. Stimulating the development of distributed power generation in Russia and abroad;

2.4.2. Identification of the most advanced projects and innovative technologies in the field of distributed power generation;

2.4.3. Popularizing the social importance of this sector of industry;

2.4.4. Organization of discussion platform, exchange of experience and contacts for representatives of engineering companies, energy equipment suppliers, manufacturers, representatives of banking structures and investment funds;

2.4.5. Investments’ search for the most promising projects.

2.5. The Prize set of the Award includes: Honorary diploma and an exclusive «Golden Lightning» statuette made by Zlatoust craftsmen.

3. Award participation conditions

3.1. Participation in the Award as nominees is free.

3.2. Individuals and legal entities (companies or organizations) located on the territory of any state, regardless of the ownership forms, carrying out their activities in the field of distributed power generation (design, engineering, production and supply of generating equipment, etc.), as well as enterprises implementing distributed generation projects in their production, are admitted to participate in the Award. Investment funds and banking structures participating in investment projects in the energy sector are also invited to participate in the competition.

3.3. Participating companies shall not be in a state of liquidation, bankruptcy, reorganization or suspension of economic activity.

3.4. Applications for the Award are accepted annually in the terms established by the Organizer and published at the Award website https://energo-union.com within 60 (sixty) calendar days since the beginning of the nomination period. The organizer has the right to extend the deadline for accepting applications.

3.5. Applications are accepted in an electronic system at the Award website https://energo-union.com.

3.6. Key requirements for filling out the electronic application for the Award:

3.6.1. The application shall contain real contact information of the nominee;

3.6.2. The application shall contain a detailed description of the implemented project or innovative development according to the items proposed in the electronic system at the Award website;

3.6.3. Project (development/design) photos and project (development/design) presentation shall be attached to the application;

3.7. Выдвигаемые на соискание Премии проекты должны быть реализованы в текущем или предшествующем номинационному процессу году.

3.8. Один проект может быть заявлен только на одну номинацию.

3.9. Номинант имеет право подать заявку на несколько номинаций Премии при условии, что заявляются разные проекты.

3.10. The nomination process is conducted upon the principles of strict confidentiality. No preliminary public discussion of the nomination process is foreseen.

4. Procedure of the Award applications's examination

4.1. Upon receipt of applications for the Award the Organizer shall conduct their initial examination — verification for compliance with the present Regulations.

4.2. The Organizer sends all applications that have passed the initial examination to the members of the International Expert Council for the Award for examination and forms the Short-list of the Award.

4.3. The members of the International Expert Council shall carry out the examination within the terms established by the Organizer, but not longer than within 30 (thirty) calendar days.

4.4. Experts evaluate the applications for the Award, mark the score points.

4.5. The organizer has the right to announce the names of the nominees included into the short-list before making a final decision on the winners of the current year's Award.

5. International Expert Council

5.1. The International Expert Council consists of leading specialists and analysts in the field of distributed power generation, representatives of the business community, heads of large energy enterprises, rectors of industry universities of the country, as well as the prominent Russian scientists. The full list of the International Expert Council can be found at the Award's website https://energo-union.com/experts.

5.2. Expert work of the Award's International Expert Council's member is carried out free of charge.

5.3. The Chairman of the International Expert Council shall continuously supervise the activities of the International Expert Council.

5.4. Members of the International Expert Council have the right to:

5.4.1. Take part in all meetings of the International Expert Council and in all official events of the Award, including the annual Award winners' prize distribution ceremony;

5.4.2. Receive all necessary information on the activities of the International Expert Council and on the progress of the nomination process;

5.4.3. Receive information about the works submitted for the competition and get acquainted with their content;

5.4.5. Make proposals to improve the activities of the International Expert Council and the nomination process as a whole.

5.5. Members of the International Expert Council are required to:

5.5.1. Comply with the requirements of the present Regulations and other fundamental documents of the Award;

5.5.2. Prevent actions and statements that may harm the interests of the Award, the business reputation of the Organizer;

5.5.3. Not to disclose information related to the work of the International Expert Council, including the selection and discussion of the nominees' works;

5.5.4. Keep confidential the decision of the International Expert Council upon the prize distribution until the official announcement of the Award's winners.

5.6. The Organizer has the right to make annual rotation of members of the International Expert Council.

6. Winners awarding procedure

6.1. The place and the scope of the Award Ceremony shall be determined by the Organizer.

6.2. Persons in respect of whom the Award has been decided shall be granted the honorary title "Winner of the International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements» and shall be entitled to the Prize set of the Award (item 2.5 of the present Regulations).

6.3. The Award winner has the right to indicate his status as the «Winner of the International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements» at participation in international events, interviews, publications, etc.
