Eastern Hydrogen Cluster: AGEC in the village of Novikovo, Sakhalin region

In September 2024, the launch ceremony of an automated hybrid energy complex in the village of Novikovo, Sakhalin Region, took place at the Eastern Economic Forum. The project was implemented with joint participation of RusHydro PJSC, The Governments of the Sakhalin Region and MIPT. A special feature of the new AGEC is the creation of hydrogen test site on its territory. After completion of the tests, technologies will be tested for generating, storing and using hydrogen as an alternative source of energy supply to an isolated village.
