Application of Renewable Energy Sources to Enhance the Efficiency of Gas-Piston Units (GPU) in Island Mode at the Enterprise

At a food production facility, a grid-connected solar power station (300 kW), an energy storage system with a bidirectional inverter, and an automated control system based on SunConPower have been installed to smooth load fluctuations in the power supply system operating in island mode. The integration of renewable energy sources and the storage system with the control system enables maintenance of power balance, prevents sharp load fluctuations on the gas-piston units (4.7 MW), and ensures stable operation of the equipment.
