A project on development of hybrid RES generation, unique for Russian power generation industry, was implemented on the territory of Nizhne-Bureiskaya hydro power station on the Bureya river in the Amur region in 2019-2020. Stationary solar elements of total capacity estimated at 1224 kW were placed on the territory of the hydropower installation with consideration of the ultimate insolation; additionally, the first in Russia 54 kW solar energy station was installed here.
