Gas-piston power center with a capacity of 12,9 MW for Sukhonsky KBK LLC in the Vologda region

In 2025, the project by Valdex Energetika for the Sukhonsky Cardboard and Paper Mill in Sokol, Vologda Oblast, was awarded in the Special Nomination. The energy center supplies energy to a large enterprise producing paper, corrugated packaging, and fiberboard, and also has its own CHP plant that provides heat to the city.

The installed capacity of the energy center is 12.9 MW, and steam production capacity is 84.3 t/h, making the facility one of the key elements of the region's energy balance.

The energy center includes:

• 3 GPUs simultaneously generating electricity and heat: thanks to the heat recovery system, the energy center provides the mill with electricity, steam, and heating water.
• 2 modern steam boilers supporting the operation of the mill and CHP plant: steam is used in 4 steam turbines, increasing electricity and heat generation.

These solutions increase energy efficiency and reduce the load on traditional energy resources of the enterprise, ensuring production stability and heat supply to the city of Sokol.

Architectural solutions played a special role: the energy center is organically integrated into the industrial zone, combining functionality with thoughtful visual integration of the facility into the surrounding environment.

The Sukhonsky KBK project demonstrates a high level of competence of Valdex Energetika in energy construction, combining powerful generation, efficient heat recovery, and a modern approach to integrating energy infrastructure.
