MNPO Energospectechnika JSC
Autonomous hybrid power plant ENERGO-KA on Teschin Yazik pass in the Republic of Bashkortostan
Russia, Krasnogorsk
The project by JSC "MNPO Energospectechnika" — the autonomous hybrid power unit ENERGO-KA — was created to operate in conditions of complete absence of electrical grid infrastructure. The energy complex is installed on the Zilmerdak mountain ridge, at the Teshchin Yazyk Pass in the Republic of Bashkortostan, at an altitude of approximately 850 meters above sea level, under harsh climate conditions and without power lines. The installation ensures fully autonomous operation of a cellular communication station with a capacity of 2.5 kW — without refueling, on-site monitoring, or maintenance.
The hybrid system combines:
- Solar generation (11.04 kW);
- Battery storage (2200 Ah);
- Two diesel generators of 16 kW each with intelligent rotation.
In normal mode, the facility is powered by the solar energy system (SES), while the diesel generator units (DGUs) are activated when there is insufficient energy, simultaneously charging the storage batteries. The equipment is housed in an all-weather Arctic container with three compartments: aggregate, equipment, and fuel; and is equipped with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, alarm, and remote monitoring systems. The project also implements several innovative solutions ensuring reliable year-round operation in temperature ranges from −50°C to +50°C.
The ENERGO-KA project demonstrates how modern hybrid technologies enable the creation of fully autonomous energy systems for remote facilities, reducing costs, increasing reliability, and eliminating the need for constructing power transmission lines.
