The program for the modernization of the heat supply infrastructure of the Velsky district of the Arkhangelsk region

JSC "GT ENERGO" is implementing a comprehensive program for modernization and development of heat supply in the Velsky District of the Arkhangelsk Region. As part of expanding its concession activities, the company completed large-scale work in the city of Velsk and laid the foundation for improving the quality and reliability of heat supply in the working settlement of Kuloy. The project aims to replace outdated equipment, increase energy efficiency, and transition facilities to environmentally friendly fuel.

Within the framework of the project, 1.25 km of main and quarter networks were built, 3 inefficient coal-fired boiler houses were decommissioned, and 3 new modern gas-fired modular boiler houses were constructed, heat losses were reduced, and year-round hot water supply was ensured without tariff increases. The total investment amounted to approximately 70 million rubles.

The project demonstrates successful public-private partnership for sustainable territorial development. It also serves as an example of how small-scale generation is an effective solution to energy issues for small towns in Russia.
