The Expert Council of the X-th International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» included the Director of the ASPIRE Sustainable Energy Research Institute, Co-Chairman of the UAE Universities Climate Network, Professor of Khalifa University Samuel Mao. The author of ten national patents for inventions, the winner of the prestigious technology award «R&D 100», Dr. Samuel Mao expressed hope that the Russian contest will bring to light the advanced projects and it will serve a cause for developing renewable energy in the world.
Professor Samuel Mao is one of Abu Dhabi's most prominent scientists. His research interests include renewable energy evolution, which is currently a priority in the United Arab Emirates.
Professor Samuel Mao was the founder of the Institute for New Energy, a non-profit platform dedicated to international collaboration in the development and commercialization of sustainable technologies. Nowadays he is he Director of the ASPIRE Sustainable Energy Research Institute, Co-Chairman of the UAE Universities Climate Network, and Professor of Practice at Khalifa University, a public university specializing in research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
As the author of more than 200 scientific papers, Professor Samuel Mao has also authored more than 50 national invention patents. He co-chaired the International Clean Energy Conference in 2012 and 2017. Mr. Samuel Mao has co-founded several high-tech companies and has been awarded the prestigious R&D 100 Award, which is given annually for the best developments and research in the world.
