Minister of Energy of the Moscow Region Alexander Samarin greeted the participants of the Award-2020

Minister of the Energy sector of the Moscow Region Alexander Samarin greeted the participants and the organizers of the Award-2020. In his appeal Mr. Samarin noted, that «the Award has a status of an effective platform for the exchange of experience between energy companies and the development of recommendations on priority areas for the development of Distributed Power Generation in Russia».

Appeal, among the other things, says:

Energy sector is the core industry for the whole world. At the same time, the actual conditions set a goal of transition to an innovative development model for domestic fuel and energy complex, using energy and resource saving technologies, renewable energy sources and alternative fuels, as well as minimizing the negative impact on the environment.

Practice of applying distributed and renewable energy technologies requires a serious scientific and technical reason of the projects, planned for implementation, both at the development stage and at the stages of practical implementation. The Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements International Award has a status of an effective platform for the exchange of experience between energy companies and the development of recommendations on priority areas for the development of Distributed Power Generation in Russia.

For seven years, more than 500 companies and individuals took part in the competition. We hope that this year the leading energy companies of the Moscow region will also take part and receive their Golden Lightnings.

I wish good luck and implementation of all plans to the contestants and organizers of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award!

Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award is an authoritative industry award that is given for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and alternative energy. Established in 2013 by the Distributed Power Generation Association; officially supported by the State Duma Energy Committee, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Business Russia association since 2014. For 7 years, more than 500 companies from 12 countries took part in the contest. This year, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners will take place on December, 11, in Moscow, at the congress hall of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RF.

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. Maxim Zagornov, President of the Association of Small-scale Power Generation, told the editor-in-chief of Energy and Industry of Russia about the main trends and prospects of distributed generation in Russia, how the award is changing taking into account the current realities and new challenges for the industry.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
