«POWER CONVERSION LAB» company (Sistemotechnika Group of Companies) - Russia's leading developer and supplier of integrated energy solutions of the SmartGrid concept, expert in autonomous power supply systems, distributed energy and Microgrid technologies - became the General Partner of the 10th Anniversary International Award «Distributed Power Generation - Great Achievements». Participation in this significant event emphasizes the company's aspiration to inspire the industry community to search for new technologies and solutions that will make the energy sector more sustainable and affordable.

The team of «POWER CONVERSION LAB» has been successfully implementing advanced projects for Russian and international partners for more than 15 years. Thanks to the accumulated experience and applied innovative technologies, the company develops solutions for connection to low, medium and high voltage classes, ensuring regulation of capacities up to hundreds of MW/MVAr. The unique competencies developed through the prism of scientific and engineering expertise of the company's experts allow the company to effectively customize complex energy solutions to meet individual customer needs. 

The product line of solutions includes megawatt converter-battery systems (SNE, MMC-inverters), fast reactive power compensators with active filter function (STATCOM), as well as power supply reliability systems based on supercapacitors, which minimize the risks associated with voltage sags and short-term outages. The Converter Technology Laboratory prides itself on the high quality of the completed projects and their level of customization. Attention to detail, commitment to innovation and obsession with the quality of its products make the company a reliable partner, ready to provide efficient and sustainable energy solutions to achieve its customers' goals.

As of today, 11 facilities of autonomous power systems were implemented based on software and hardware complexes and its individual modules, where the total installed capacity of facilities is more than 12 MW. The total installed capacity of automated hybrid energy complexes with the company's participation has passed the mark of more than 15 MW with efficiency indicators of saving hydrocarbon fuel consumption up to 30% on average per year and up to 70% in the summer period. More than 25 grid systems with connection up to 35 kV without transformer (more than 300 MVAr) have been implemented based on the fast-acting reactive power compensators with active filter function. Implementation of projects with application of STATCOM allowed to increase the transmission capacity of transmission lines only due to fast inverter reactive power control of both signs (NEA without EES). The power part and software of two lower levels have been tested on more than 20 industrial facilities: systems with fast-acting power flows in an isolated power system (regenerative loads, lifting equipment, etc.). The Company is actively involved in high-tech projects to retrofit diesel, fuel oil and coal-fired generation in remote and hard-to-reach areas of Russia, including the Arctic, Siberia and the Far East.

The group of companies has experience in classic converter-battery devices as part of uninterruptible power supply systems with a total installed capacity of more than 400 MW. Our own production sites, engineering groups, representative offices located in many regions of Russia allow us to ensure maximum factory availability of equipment for quick commissioning at the site (with minimal costs for construction and installation work), as well as optimize logistics (including through the layout of equipment).

These achievements are the result of a team of professionals united by a common goal: to create the energy of the future today, which corresponds to the key idea of the Award  «Distributed Power Generation - Great Achievements». That is why this year the POWER CONVERSION LAB acts as the General Partner of the Prize-2024.

Winners and Prizeholders of the 2024 Award

The nomination period for the X Anniversary International Award «Distributed Power Generation - Big Achievements» has come to a close. On December 13, a ceremony for the presentation of the «Golden Lightning» awards – the main accolade in the field of small distributed and renewable energy – took place in Moscow. Despite a two-year hiatus, the Award not only took place but also became one of the most successful in the history of the competition project. The organizing committee of the Award expresses its gratitude to all participants, members of the Advisory Council, partners of the Award, and congratulates the winners!

Golden Lightning Awards Presented in Moscow – The Premier Honor in the Field of Distributed Power Generation and Renewable Energy

On December 13, a grand ceremony took place at the headquarters of «Business Russia» in Moscow, marking the presentation of the 10th International Award for «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements.» This prestigious accolade, recognizing the best projects in distributed power generation and renewable energy, was established by the Distributed Power Generation Association with the support of the business community «Business Russia,» and it garnered significant interest from industry stakeholders, businesses, and government officials. Representatives from over 100 companies attended the award ceremony in the Russian capital, while thousands tuned in to the live stream of the event on the Association's website.

The X International Award «Distributed Power Generation - Great Achievements» is approaching its final stage. On December 13 in Moscow, at the headquarters of «Business Russia,» the names of the winners of the main industry competition of the year will be announced — those who implemented innovative projects in the field of small-scale distributed and renewable energy during a challenging period for the global economy. The online broadcast of the ceremony will be available on the website of the Distributed Power Generation Association and it will be accessible to all interested parties.
