On November 18 on the sidelines of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai the cooperation agreement between the Distributed Power Generation Association and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation was signed. Organizations intend to cooperate within the scope of investment projects implementation in the field of the distributed generation in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and Arctic as well as on presentation of the Russian Federation as an industry leader at the World Energy Congress in St. Petersburg in 2022.
The Distributed Power Generation Association unites the potential of the leading Russian and international enterprises and organizations working in the field of distributed alternative power generation and other related sectors: energy and electrical equipment manufacturers, engineering companies, design and installation organizations as well as investors, financial institutes representatives and research organizations. The Association consolidates general administrative, financial and labour resources for the implementation of the innovative energy projects in the Russian and foreign markets and forms an entire industry of distributed power generation developing general regulations for the construction of its own generation facilities creating favorable conditions for the joint activity, interests protection and implementation of complex business projects in Russia and abroad.

The parties agreed to cooperate in the development of feasibility studies and the selection of efficient technological and investment solutions for the energy supply to local consumers, to cooperate in the search and projects development, attracting companies and international financial institutions, supporting investment projects on distributed generation development in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and Arctic, to cooperate in the implementation of scientific research to access the impact of upgrading of inefficient diesel, fuel oil and coal generation using modern energy-efficient technologies on global climate change.
Furthermore, the Corporation and the Association are planning a joint programme on distributed generation on a set of key international forums in 2022 including the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, the International Exhibition WETEX in Dubai and the World Energy Congress in St. Petersburg.
