The Russian Engineering Union will provide official support to the X International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements". The organization, which unites industrial enterprises and universities in 77 regions of Russia, will take part in the preparation of the contest aimed at identifying the best projects and developments in the field of distributed and renewable energy.
The Union of Machine Builders of Russia is one of the leading industry organizations representing the interests of more than 1000 large and medium-sized industrial enterprises and higher educational institutions. The main goal of the organization is to formulate the industry development strategy, actively participate in the state policy to support the national machine-building industry, and create a competitive Russian economy on the basis of the domestic machine-building complex during the period of sanctions pressure.
Holding the International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements", which identifies advanced projects and developments in the field of small distributed and renewable energy, largely meets the goals and objectives of the Russian Union of Mechanical Engineering. That is why it was decided to provide organizational support to this contest.
"Energy is one of the most important components of industry and machine building, in particular. Realizing the importance of the energy sector for the development of the machine-building industry, SoyuzMash decided to support the contest," said Sergey Kashigin, Chief of Staff of the Chelyabinsk branch of SoyuzMash of Russia.
The Chelyabinsk branch of the Russian Union of Mechanical Engineering will be responsible for the main work on supporting the prize and attracting contestants. It is in the South Urals where the largest number of machine-building enterprises are concentrated. They play an important role not only in the region's economy, but also in the whole of Russia.
"One of the tasks of this year's award is to identify the most promising domestic developments in the field of small-scale power engineering. That is why we invite Russian enterprises working in the field of power engineering to participate. Russia has a strong engineering school and highly qualified specialists. I am confident that the support of the Russian Engineering Union will help identify advanced projects, innovations and import-substituting technologies in this field," said Maxim Zagornov, the organizer of the contest and President of the Small Power Engineering Association.
The Russian Engineering Union will take an active part not only in the preparation of the award, but also in the examination of the contest projects. Sergey Kashigin, Chief of Staff of the Chelyabinsk branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, joined the International Expert Council for the awarding of the prize.
The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" has been awarded since 2013 and is an effective platform for the presentation of advanced projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy.
