Applications for the X-th International Award «Distributed Power Generation - Great Achievements» continue to be accepted

Applications for the X-th International Award «Distributed Power Generation - Great Achievements» are still being accepted.  The award, established by the Distributed Power Generation Association with the support of the business association Business Russia, has been organized since 2013 and is currently an authoritative platform for the presentation of advanced projects in the distributed and renewable energy. 

The award will be presented in 6 nominations this year: «The best project in the field of small distributed power generation up to 5 MW»; «The best project in the field of small distributed power generation with a capacity of more than 5 MW»; «Best Renewable Energy, Storage and Electric Transportation Project»; «Domestic development in the field of small-scale distributed energy»; «Investor of the Year in the field of small-scale distributed energy»; «Research and development in the field of small distributed energy».

Companies and organizations located in Russia and friendly countries, operating in the field of small-scale distributed and renewable energy, including research institutes and establishments conducting applied research and development in this field, are kindly invited to participate in the award. Enterprises implementing small-scale distributed energy projects at their production facilities are also invited to participate in the contest. The submitted project had to be implemented within 2021 to 2024. Participation in the award is free of charge.

The winners will be selected by the International Expert Council, which includes prominent Russian scientists, representatives of federal and regional government authorities, heads of the country's leading energy companies and organizations, professors from relevant universities, and editors-in-chief of key industry media. This year the Expert Council of the Award was strengthened by experts from China and the United Arab Emirates.

Applications are accepted in an electronic system on the project website - https://energo-union.com/en/award. Now, more than 20 applications for the award have been received from companies originated in Russia and from the UAE. Entries will be accepted until 1 November inclusive).

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. Maxim Zagornov, President of the Association of Small-scale Power Generation, told the editor-in-chief of Energy and Industry of Russia about the main trends and prospects of distributed generation in Russia, how the award is changing taking into account the current realities and new challenges for the industry.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
