Perspectives of Application and Issues Related to Integration of Distributed Energy Sources into Electrical Networks monograph by Pavel Ilyushin came off the press

A monograph by Pavel Ilyushin, Vice-President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, Head of the RNС CIGRE C6 Subcommittee, Pro-rector for Research at FSAEE AVE PEIAT, Perspectives of Application and Issues Related to Integration of Distributed Energy Sources into Electrical Networks has been published recently. The major study is devoted to the possibilities of application and problematic issues of integrating distributed energy sources into electrical networks.

It should be noted that this is the third monograph by Pavel Ilyushin dedicated to the key issues in the distributed power generation in Russia. In his new work, the author considered main advantages and problematic issues of technological connection of distributed power generation sources to distribution networks or internal power supply networks of enterprises, and deliver the analysis of design and maintainability of widely used generating plants and their impact on reliability indicators.

The research describes in detail the principles of interaction of all participants in the technological connection of distributed energy sources. A list of the main regulatory documents has been formed, which must be observed in this case. Recommendations for the development of power distribution schemes for distributed energy sources are presented, and methods for performing calculations of electrical modes are considered, with reference to the features of generating plants and loads. Special attention has been given to the issue of forming additional technical requirements for generating installations in order to ensure reliable power supply to consumers in an island (autonomous) mode of operation.

The monograph is meant to a wide range of readers, including managers and specialists of grid distribution companies, design organizations, as well as enterprises of various industries planning construction or operating distributed power generation sources.

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
