Dr. Chen Lei, a research scientist from the Institute of Energy and the Institute of Carbon Neutrality of Peking University, has joined the Expert Council of the X-th International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS». Dr. Chen Lei is the winner of the national award in the nomination «Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation» of the Chinese Society of Instrumentation and the author of ten national patents for inventions, he expressed his hope that the contest, organized by the Distributed Power Generation Association, will facilitate in revealing the best projects and promotion of small-scale and renewable energy development in the world in general.
Dr. Chen Lei is a promising scientist at the Institute of Energy and the Institute of Carbon Neutrality at Peking University. His research interests include distributed power development, data-driven power planning, operation and control, and carbon neutrality.
Dr. Chen Lei is the author of more than 40 articles in leading national and international journals, including «Reviews of renewable and sustainable energy», «Applied energy», «IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid», «IEEE Transactions on Power Systems» and others. He is a member of the editorial board of the «International Journal of Power and Energy Systems» journal - an authoritative publication whose subject is the energy systems in Europe and USA.
Dr. Chen Lei has authored dozens of national invention patents, and it is a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Task Force on Big Data Analysis for Synchronous Measurements, a member of the Electromagnetic Measurement Section of China Instrumentation Society. In 2020 year, he was awarded the National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by China Instrumentation Society.
«Today, China is the world leader in the production of electricity using renewable energy sources. The country mainstreams in introducing new technologies, launching advanced projects, and actively developing the scientific interest. We really do appreciate that Dr. Chen Lei from the Institute of Energy and the Institute of Carbon Neutrality of Peking University has joined the expert council of the Award this year. I am confident that his participation will raise both: the level of project evaluation and the international status of the contest» said Mr. Maxim Zagornov, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association.
We all remember that the International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» was founded in 2013 and it still is an effective platform for presenting the most advanced projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. This year, the award is presented in 6 nominations. Applications are accepted up to November 1 exclusively. All details are on the project website https://energo-union.com/en/award
