The International POL Testing Center, LLC is one of the leading participants in the Russian market of services for lubricants compositions monitoring has become an official partner of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award.

The International POL Testing Center, LLC has been a member of the Russian market for monitoring lubricants since 2008. The laboratory offers standard test complexes for engine oils, antifreezes and diesel fuels for participants in the power distributed generation market: owners and suppliers of generating equipment, suppliers of lubricants. The complexes are created based on the requirements of manufacturers of generating plants, both domestic and foreign, and general industrial standards ISO, DIN, ASTM.

Laboratory monitoring of lubricants makes it possible to reduce operating costs associated with the purchase of consumables and to reduce the cost of electricity and heat generated by distributed power energy plants. In the period from January 1, 2016 to September 1, 2020, The International POL Testing Center, LLC tested 28,067 analyzes of gas engine oils and 14,931 analyzes of diesel engine oils for participants in the Russian small-scale energy market.

The International POL Testing Center, LLC is one of the of 4 independent European laboratories selected by INNIO Jenbacher to monitor engine oils and antifreezes for gas piston units. In 2018 The International POL Testing Center demonstrated 2nnel laboratories automation software package. 2nnel is a data collection, analysis and storage system that unites laboratories into a single space. It allows not only to analyze the results obtained from laboratory instruments, but also to provide them to customers online and in two languages. The client can send the lubricant for analysis to any of the three laboratories of The International POL Testing Center, LLC and get the result in his personal account 48 hours after the receipt of the sample in the laboratory.

In 2019, within the frames of cooperation between The International POL Testing Center, LLC and INNIO Jenbacher, the 2nnel complex and the MyPlant Jenbacher remote diagnostics and monitoring system were combined. The myPlant cloud platform gives Jenbacher equipment owners access to real-time data on the operation of their gas engine units. And the expansion of the base of the analyzed indicators due to the research data of engine oil and antifreezes contributes to early detection of malfunctions and better diagnostics of engines. Today more than 1900 analyzes of these complexes have been performed.

The interface of the 2nnel software package allows to carry out similar work for installations of other manufacturers of generating equipment on the market of the Russian Federation.

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
