On May 19, in Moscow, within the framework of the International Exhibition of Technologies for Livestock and Field Fodder Production AGROS-2021, the all-Russian Decentralized Power Supply to Enterprises of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Russia Conference will be held for the first time. The event will be organized by three leading industry associations standing together: Distributed Power Generation Association, NP Photovoltaic Industry Association and Russian Association of Wind Power Industry.
Within the framework of the Decentralized Power Supply to Enterprises of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Russia Conference, specific recommendations will be given on solving the issues of energy supply to enterprises of the agro-industrial complex through technologies of small-scale distributed and alternative power generation. The conference will be moderated by Maksim Zagornov, President of the Russian Distributed Power Generation Association, Chairman of the Small-Scale Generation Subcommittee of the All-Russian Public Organization Business Russia, and Anton Usachev, Director of the NP Photovoltaic Industry Association.
The experience of the crisis year of 2020 has proved that distributed power generation today is not only an effective, but sometimes a vital tool that allows enterprises to reduce electricity costs by 2–3 times, ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and meet the growing demand for new capacities. In addition, the construction of distributed energy facilities is becoming an increasingly attractive, highly profitable business that brings stable income to investors.
During the conference, practical experience of the development of distributed power generation in the agro-industrial complex in various regions of Russia will be presented; specific cases on the construction of autonomous genset power plants for farms and greenhouses will be demonstrated as well as for the construction of biogas facilities using agricultural waste as fuel (grain husk, flax fire, apple straw, etc.). An overview of the most efficient equipment on the distributed power generation market will be given and one of the most popular mechanisms for implementing small-scale power generation projects — through energy service agreements — will be presented.
Also, within the framework of the conference, relevant solutions for the energy supply of agricultural enterprises and farms using solar energy technologies will be presented, recommendations on the selection of equipment for solar power plants will be given and cases of the construction of micro-wind turbines for power supply of farms, as well as the implementation of hybrid energy facilities will be demonstrated.
The conference will be attended by leading industry experts, suppliers of power equipment, representatives of engineering companies, including the winners and laureates of the Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award.
It should be mentioned that traditionally AGROS involves manufacturers and suppliers from Russia and foreign countries, who offer their solutions to livestock and fodder professionals from more than 80 regions of Russia and neighboring countries. In 2021, AGROS will offer an extensive and diverse business program on current topics of animal husbandry and feed production; some of the events will also be broadcast on AGROS Digital platform. AGROS exhibition will be held with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and sectoral national unions on May 18–20 at the Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow.
