Interaction with the financial institutions
The Distributed Power Generation Association creates an effective platform for development and further implementation of joint business projects with participation of the organization members on the principles of fairness, openness, and honesty, respecting the financial interests of all the parties. The association accumulates experience and competences of companies to form competitive offers in the market. It interacts with financial institutions, banking structures and investment companies, including the foreign ones, to find investments for the joint business projects.
At present, the distributed generation market is attractive for investments: the cost of electricity at the own generation facility is 1.1 - 1.7 rubles per 1 kWh at the existing price for the SMEs of 4 - 5 rubles per 1 kWh. At the same time the mini-MPPs have a short payback period — from 3 to 4 years. In Russia, a retail electricity market is being formed, allowing the generation owner or the investor not only to produce, but also to sell surplus electricity.
The Distributed Power Generation Association is actively working to develop the ready-made cooperation proposals within the power supply contracts' framework, when the consumer does not bear the financial costs for the mini-MPP construction, but within the agreements' framework gets a discount for electric power from the generation owner.
