Applications are now being accepted for the XI International Award «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements». This year, the Award has undergone several changes: for the first time, the prestigious independent industry award will be presented in seven nominations, and the International Expert Council will be supplemented with new names. However, its main goal remains unchanged — to identify the best industry projects of the year, create a platform for sharing experience, and strengthen the potential of the scientific and engineering community.
The International Award «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements» has been held since 2013 and during this time has become a key platform for showcasing the most significant achievements in one of the fastest-growing sectors — distributed power generation and renewable energy.
The award is organized by the Distributed Power Generation Association, and co-organized by the All-Russian Public Organization Business Russia. Over 11 years, 672 companies and organizations from 12 countries have taken part in the Award, 43 of which became winners and holders of the main prize — the Golden Lightning statuette.
«Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements» is not just an award. It is a professional community, knowledge exchange, and recognition of those who, through their projects and solutions, develop the distributed energy sector and drive it forward. «Every year our participants make an invaluable contribution to the sustainable future of our country», said Maxim Zagornov, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association and organizer of the Award.
This year, the Award will for the first time be presented in seven categories:
- «The best project in the field of small distributed power generation up to 5 MW»;
- «The best project in the field of small distributed power generation with a capacity of more than 5 MW»;
- «Best Renewable Energy, Storage and Electric Transportation Project»;
- «Domestic development in the field of small-scale distributed energy»;
- «Investor of the Year in the field of small-scale distributed energy»;
- «Research and development in the field of small distributed energy»;
- «Best information project in the field of small distributed energy».
Special attention is given to the new category introduced this year — for information projects and events covering key industry topics. This category may include journalistic materials, blogs, Telegram channels, webinars, conferences, and other initiatives that promote small distributed and renewable energy in Russia and abroad.
Companies and organizations working in the field of distributed power generation and renewable energy, as well as research institutes and universities, are invited to participate. Submitted projects must have been implemented between 2024 and 2025. Participation in the Award is free of charge.
The winners will be determined through independent voting by members of the International Expert Council, which has been expanded this year. It comprises leading experts and analysts in distributed power generation, business community representatives, top managers of major energy companies, as well as Russian and international scientists.
Applications are accepted until November 1, 2025. You can apply on the project’s website — energo-union.com.
The General Partner of the XI International Award «Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements» is MKS Group of Companies. The Official Partner is the engineering company Premier-Energo.
