«Business Russia» will become a co-organizer of the VIII International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements»

The All Russia Public Organization «Business Russia» will become a co-organizer of the VIII International Award «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements». One of the largest business communities of the country is taking an active part in the preparations for the award aimed in discovery of the best distributed power generation projects of the year.

This issue was among the other discussed on the kick-off meeting of the distributed power generation subcommittee of the «Business Russia» Energy Committee, which was hold online on July, 15th. As noticed by Maksim Zagornov, member of the General Council, Chairman of the Subcommittee, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, «Business Russia» has been officially supporting the award since 2017, but is co-organizing the project for the first time this year.

«Business Russia» has always been particularly interested in distributed power generation and this industry award, — Maksim Zagornov said. — But this very year it will appear as a fully entitled project co-organizer. Nowadays, in the conditions of the long-term economic crisis, business is facing extremely acute issues of increasing the energy efficiency and energy resources cost efficiency. The award will help to discover the most advanced distributed power generation technologies and the teams able to complete these tasks».

It should be pointed out, that as a co-organizer «Business Russia» will participate actively not only in the preparations for the award, but also in assessing of the contest projects. Chairman of the All Russia public organization «Business Russia» Alexey Repik, Chairman of the Energy Committee of the All Russia Public Organization «Business Russia» Dmitry Lipyavko, and Chairman of the All Russia Public Organization «Business Russia» Chelyabinsk Regional Department Konstantin Zakharov have become members of the Award International Expert Council.

The official VIII International «Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements» award ceremony will be also held in the «Business Russia» headquarters (Moscow, Delegatskaya St., 7, p. 1, conference room) and will become a presentation of the most advanced distributed power generation projects and teams of the year in front of the owners of the business association’s companies and the industry community.

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. Maxim Zagornov, President of the Association of Small-scale Power Generation, told the editor-in-chief of Energy and Industry of Russia about the main trends and prospects of distributed generation in Russia, how the award is changing taking into account the current realities and new challenges for the industry.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
