MKS Group of Companies, a leading Russian engineering enterprise, acts as the General Sponsor of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award. It is remarkable that the company has been supporting and co-organizing the authoritative contest project for 8 years.
MKS Group of Companies which celebrated its 15th birthday in April 2020 stood at the origins of distributed power generation industry in Russia. Nowadays, the company is one of the top-rank engineering enterprises of the country engaged in turnkey construction of autonomous power generating facilities. The company designs, builds and operates gas genset power plants. For 15 years the company commissioned 54 miniMPP with total capacity of 244 MW. Since 2017 the company has been an official dealer and service partner of MWM.
In order to improve the quality and reduce time of projects implementation, MKS Group of Companies launched its own production of auxiliary energy equipment and mastered small-scale production of power supply facilities of modular execution. MKS Group of Companies was the first in Russia to develop and commission a modular power station based on the largest MWM’s 4,5 MW TCG 2032B engines. MKS Group of companies is a resident of Malaya Sosnovka (Chelyabinsk region) and Dubna (Moscow region) free economic zones, where the miniMPP production plants are being constructed. The company is headquartered in Moscow and has representative offices in Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Munich, Nur-Sultan, Dubai.
Since 2010 MKS Group of Companies has been a member of the Distributed Power Generation Association and makes its contribution into shaping of the distributed power generation; the company actively participates in working out general operating procedures for own generation facilities construction, cooperates with governmental bodies and public organizations, interacts with financial institutions introducing work performance through energy service contracts, facilitates penetrating of the Association’s companies to the international markets.
MKS Group of Companies supports all social projects of the Distributed Power Generation Association including the Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award. Since 2013, the company has been the long-term General Partner of the contest who understands all the importance of this initiative. By replicating the best industry practices, accumulating the most advanced Russian and foreign experience, the contest contributes to the development of the distributed power generation industry and an increase in the level of engineering in the country.
This year the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements has set the bar high: 91 applications from Russia, Austria and Belarus have been submitted to the Organizing Committee. This indicates the growing prestige of the Award in the industry community and the demand for this contest project. For 8 years the Award has been a prestigious platform for presentation of the top-rank projects of the year, best technological solutions, and innovative developments. The results of the Award-2020 will be announced in the congress hall of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of the Russian Federation in Moscow on December, 11.
