New specialists and industry leaders from Russia and abroad have joined the International Expert Council of the XI International Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements Award. This year, the Council welcomes representatives from business, academia, and communications, as well as an expert from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
This renewal will enable the evaluation of competition projects from diverse professional perspectives and further strengthen cross-sector dialogue. The material below introduces the new experts of the 2025 Award.
Mohamed Talaat Mohamed Kamel, General Manager for Energy Projects at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) — Egypt’s largest state-owned oil and gas company. Mohamed Talaat is an electrical engineer with over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in energy efficiency and international project coordination. He is also a member of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum’s working group on the Energy Efficiency Master Plan and cooperates with JICA and the European Union on energy conservation programs.

Igor Chausov, Director of the Analytical Department at ANO EnergyNet, analyst and methodologist, one of the developers of Russia’s Hydrogen Energy Development Concept and Low-Carbon Hydrogen Energy Development Program. His expertise focuses on the architecture of future energy systems — the transition to distributed, carbon-free, and digital energy. He is among the key specialists implementing the Internet of Energy concept and advancing intelligent energy networks.
Maria Stepanova, Director of the Expert Bureau Energiavita, Associate Professor at the UGMK Technical University and PhD in Economics. An economist and analyst in energy efficiency, ESG, and sustainable development, Maria is a certified ISO 50001 energy management auditor. She has contributed to federal energy-saving programs, implemented international and corporate energy efficiency projects, and authored over 100 publications.
Nikita Ryblenkov, Deputy General Director of Novostal-M Holding, Executive Secretary of the Metallurgy Committee of Delovaya Rossiya and of the Association of Electrometallurgical Enterprises. Representing the business community within the Council, Nikita Ryblenkov is part of one of Russia’s largest steel-producing holdings, which is actively implementing major investment and infrastructure projects.
Irina Yesipova, Director of the Center for the Development of Communications in the Fuel and Energy Complex (TEK) and Chair of the Energy Communications Committee of the Russian Association for Public Relations (RASO). A prominent expert in PR and corporate communications, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the national communication award ConTEKst in the energy sector, and laureate of the Media Manager of Russia award. Her background includes serving as Press Secretary of the Russian Ministry of Energy, leading press services of major energy companies, and mentoring young professionals. This year, Irina Yesipova joined the Council in connection with the introduction of the new seventh nomination — “Best Information Project in Distributed Power Generation.”
Andrey Temerov, Chairman of the Green Kilowatt Association of Renewable Energy Specialists, PhD in Technical Sciences, and Director of AltEnergia. An expert in renewable energy and microgeneration, he was the winner of the 2020 Award in the “Innovative Energy Development” category. The Association he leads unites professionals and companies promoting renewable energy technologies and energy-efficient solutions across Russia.
The International Expert Council includes specialists in distributed and renewable power generation, representatives of the business community, heads of major energy companies, rectors of specialized universities, and distinguished scientists and analysts whose expertise covers key areas of energy sector development.
Traditionally, leading experts identify the best projects — the winners of the Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements Award. This year, the renewed composition of the Expert Council ensures a broader diversity of perspectives and experience, strengthening international industry dialogue.
Applications for the XI International Distributed Power Generation – Great Achievements Award are open until November 1, and on November 5 the International Expert Council will begin its work.
