Registration for participation in the Ceremony of the Award-2020 has opened. Video announcement of the event

The VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award has entered the final stage of the preparations. The names of the winners of the major industry contest of the year will be announced on December, 11, in Moscow. They have implemented innovative distributed and alternative power generation projects in the complicated conditions of the today world economy. This year the Solemn Ceremony of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award will be held in a combined mode: offline part of the event will be held in the Congress Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; and online part will be available all over the world.

The contest organized by the Distributed Power Generation Association under the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the State Duma Committee on Energy and the Business Russia business association, today is a constructive platform for presentation of the most advanced projects of distributed and alternative energy, which brings together industry leaders from all over the world.

Despite the fact that the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award was held in the conditions of uncertainty of the global economy and coronavirus pandemic, the contest took many new organizational and semantic peaks. The Expert Council has significantly strengthened: this year it includes Kristina Haverkamp, Managing Director at German Energy Agency (dena), and Andrey Pokhozhaev, Senior Managing director of RES Investment Division at RUSNANO MC LLC. For the first time in the history of the Award, an electronic system for collecting applications was introduced on the project website. But most importantly, a record number of applications has been submitted: total of 91 applications from Russia, Austria and Belarus. 72 projects were shortlisted for the Award.

This year the Solemn Ceremony of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award will be held in a combined mode: offline part of the event will be held in the Congress Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; and online part will be available all over the world. From any place on the planet you will be able to join the broadcast and be among the first to know the pioneering distributed power generation projects and technologies as well as the names of those to get Golden Lightning this year.

The offline Ceremony will take place on December, 11, at 14:00 Moscow time at the Congress Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Ilyinka str., 6/1, building 1). Gathering at 13:30. Participation in the event is by invitations only.

Online broadcast will be available on December, 11, at 14:00 Moscow time on the website of the Russian Distributed Power Generation Association. Please register to get an access to the online broadcast. All the participants will get an access to all presentations and video materials after the event.

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
