The VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award has entered the final stage of the preparations. The names of the winners of the major industry contest of the year will be announced on December, 11, in Moscow. They have implemented innovative distributed and alternative power generation projects in the complicated conditions of the today world economy. This year the Solemn Ceremony of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award will be held in a combined mode: offline part of the event will be held in the Congress Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; and online part will be available all over the world.
The contest organized by the Distributed Power Generation Association under the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the State Duma Committee on Energy and the Business Russia business association, today is a constructive platform for presentation of the most advanced projects of distributed and alternative energy, which brings together industry leaders from all over the world.
Despite the fact that the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award was held in the conditions of uncertainty of the global economy and coronavirus pandemic, the contest took many new organizational and semantic peaks. The Expert Council has significantly strengthened: this year it includes Kristina Haverkamp, Managing Director at German Energy Agency (dena), and Andrey Pokhozhaev, Senior Managing director of RES Investment Division at RUSNANO MC LLC. For the first time in the history of the Award, an electronic system for collecting applications was introduced on the project website. But most importantly, a record number of applications has been submitted: total of 91 applications from Russia, Austria and Belarus. 72 projects were shortlisted for the Award.

The offline Ceremony will take place on December, 11, at 14:00 Moscow time at the Congress Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Ilyinka str., 6/1, building 1). Gathering at 13:30. Participation in the event is by invitations only.
Online broadcast will be available on December, 11, at 14:00 Moscow time on the website of the Russian Distributed Power Generation Association.
