The President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Distributed Power Generation of Business Russia, CEO of MKS Group of Companies Maksim Zagornov greeted the participants of the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award. In his appeal the Expert noted that «arranging of the contest initiated by business itself proves that distributed power generation industry in Russia has been well established».

I thank you for the interest taken in the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award and participation in the project as contestants, members of the Expert Council, Partners and honored guests.
Development of the economy is always inseparably linked to the development of power generation industry. Nowadays, when the world is step by step recovering from the recession caused by COVID-19 pandemic, the country is facing an acute issue of increasing its power capacities. Obviously, this crucial task is being resolved not only by the government, but by the business itself, which suggests the best ways of increasing power capacities by implementation of distributed power generation technologies.
What can be seen in Russia today can be called a bright representation of the business’ social responsibility. Not expecting any help from the outside, mobilizing its own resources, it was business who suggested the efficient ways of reducing the costs on electric and heat power to the enterprises: the demand for distributed power generating facilities has increased not only in remote areas, but in the central part of Russia as well.
Arranging of the Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award, the contest initiated by business itself and held by business itself proves that distributed power generation industry in Russia has been well established. For eight years already, traditionally in December, the Expert community chooses the best projects of the year, discovers the top rank teams and highly efficient technologies. And in this respect, the role of the Award can hardly be overestimated: by replicating the best industry practices, accumulating the most advanced Russian and foreign experience, the competition contributes to the development of the distributed power generation industry and an increase in the level of engineering in the country.

Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award is an authoritative industry award that is given for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and alternative energy. Established in 2013 by the Distributed Power Generation Association; officially supported by the State Duma Energy Committee, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Business Russia association since 2014. For 7 years, more than 500 companies from 12 countries took part in the contest. This year, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners will take place on December, 11, in Moscow, at the congress hall of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RF.
