Hero of the Russian Federation, pilot-cosmonaut Oleg Artemiyev greeted the participants of the Award-2020

The Hero of the Russian Federation, pilot-cosmonaut, member of Moscow City Duma Oleg Artemiyev greeted the participants and the organizers of the Award-2020. In his appeal Mr. Artemiyev emphasized the importance of «consolidating the interests of power generation industry and other economy branches, including space industry, within the frames of an integrated dialogue between the representatives of governmental power, science and business society» and wished good luck to the contestants.

Appeal, among the other things, says;

I congratulate you on holding the VIII Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award, an established energy contest discovering top rank projects of the year in the distributed and alternative energy sphere.

Importance of the energy branch has been increasing steadily in the modern world. A new technological future is being shaped now, where a special role is being determined for the distributed and alternative power generation.

Nowadays it is more than ever important to consolidate the interests of power generation industry and other economy branches, including space industry, within the frames of an integrated dialogue between the representatives of governmental power, science and business society. Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award has proved itself to be an established and effective platform for presenting the best industry projects, sharing expert opinions and searching for new ways of developing power generation industry in new realities.

I have been very pleased to notice a high competitive activity this year; 91 applications from Russia, Austria and Belarus have been submitted to the Organizing Committee. This proves that small-scale distributed power generation has been developing actively; new generating facilities, solar stations and wind power plants are being commissioned, unique developments are being implemented.

I wish good luck to all the participants! Although only the winners will get the Golden Lightnings, all the participants of the contest project contribute to the development of prospective distributed power generation industry and deserve recognition. Let you all find success on this path.

Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements International Award is an authoritative industry award that is given for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and alternative energy. Established in 2013 by the Distributed Power Generation Association; officially supported by the State Duma Energy Committee, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Business Russia association since 2014. For 7 years, more than 500 companies from 12 countries took part in the contest. This year, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners will take place on December, 11, in Moscow, at the congress hall of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RF.

60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. Maxim Zagornov, President of the Association of Small-scale Power Generation, told the editor-in-chief of Energy and Industry of Russia about the main trends and prospects of distributed generation in Russia, how the award is changing taking into account the current realities and new challenges for the industry.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
