Schneider Electric joins the Distributed Power Generation Association

One of the world leading digital solutions provider for energy management and automatization, Schneider Electric joined the Distributed Power Generation Association. The solemn ceremony of awarding the certificate of entry took place on September, 8 in Moscow within the frames of the business meeting between the President of the Distributed Power Generation Association Maksim Zagornov and Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Director of Schneider Electric Sergey Semyonov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation tasks and purposes, and defined the promising trends of interaction. As Maksim Zagornov noted, Schneider Electric’s entry to the Distributed Power Generation Association will facilitate solution of the major strategic task – shaping the distributed power generation market and mutual implementation of innovative energy projects on Russian and international markets.

I am convinced that that combining the forces of the branch leading companies and increasing our mutual competences we will facilitate the world process of energy transition and dynamic development of distributed energy sector,» — Maksim Zagornov, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, said.

Sergey Semyonov has taken the position of Vice President for Investments and International cooperation in the structure of Distributed Power Generation Association. Sergey is responsible for managing Association’s investment projects and developing international cooperation.

During the meeting, Maksim Zagornov awarded the certificate of entry of Schneider Electric into the Distributed Power Generation Association to Sergey Semyonov and wished mutually beneficial coopaeration.

Distributed Power Generation Association is a nonprofit organization uniting hi-tech companies active in the sphere of distributed energy and associated industry branches. The association has been created in order to consolidate the efforts in shaping the distributed power generation market and implementation of innovative energy projects in Russian and international markets. 60 Projects from Russia and the UAE Make the 2024 Shortlist

The shortlist for the X International Award «DISTRIBUTED POWER GENERATION – GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS» has been announced, featuring 60 projects from two countries. Among the nominees are companies and organizations from Russia and the United Arab Emirates. A total of 72 competitors vied for the main prize of the competition—the «Golden Lightning» statuette. Following preliminary selection results, the organizing committee has compiled the shortlist for the 2024 Award. This week, members of the International Expert Council will begin reviewing the projects. The names of the winners will be announced on December 13 in Moscow.

"Small energy industry strives for great achievements": an interview with Maxim Zagornov

The International Award "Small Energy - Great Achievements" is held for the tenth time this year. Today it is the main industry award for the best implemented projects in the field of distributed and renewable energy. Maxim Zagornov, President of the Association of Small-scale Power Generation, told the editor-in-chief of Energy and Industry of Russia about the main trends and prospects of distributed generation in Russia, how the award is changing taking into account the current realities and new challenges for the industry.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Association of Small-Scale Power Industry made proposals for the development of energy capacities in the Far East

Following the Ninth Eastern Economic Forum, the President of Russia instructed the Government, together with the business community, to prepare a long-term program for the development of energy capacities in the Far East and to provide for project financing mechanisms. The Small Energy Association made its proposals, which were reflected in a letter to Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
