Maxim Zagornov, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, Director of the MKS Group, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Small Generation of Business Russia, was awarded the Medal for Merits in the Development of the Fuel and Energy Complex (2nd Class). The award order was signed by Sergey Tsivilev, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.

The webinar dedicated to the XI International Award «Distributed power generation – great achievements» was held on June 5. Key changes to this year's Award were presented, and current trends and challenges in the field of small and distributed energy were discussed. The event was attended by leading Russian and foreign industry experts, organizers and members of the international Expert Council of the Award. The webinar was moderated by Valery Zhikharev, Vice President of the Distributed Power Generation Association.

The nomination period for the X Anniversary International Award «Distributed Power Generation - Big Achievements» has come to a close. On December 13, a ceremony for the presentation of the «Golden Lightning» awards – the main accolade in the field of small distributed and renewable energy – took place in Moscow. Despite a two-year hiatus, the Award not only took place but also became one of the most successful in the history of the competition project. In recent years, the Chinese government has provided significant support for the development of distributed energy within the country. According to the outlined plans during the «14th Five-Year Plan» period, there are substantial opportunities for expanding distributed energy in the Middle Kingdom. As of early 2023, the total installed capacity of distributed energy in China was approximately 250.005 GW. In comparison, these figures are significantly lower in Russia, hovering around 20-24 GW.
