President of the Distributed Power Generation Association, Director of MKC Group of Companies, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Distributed Power Generation of Business Russia Maksim Zagornov congratulated colleagues on the power industry with the professional holiday — Power Engineers’ Day.

Maksim Zagornov, President of Distributed Power Generation Association and Director of MKC Group of Companies, became the guest of a program by well-known industry blogger Boris Martsinkevich. The Geoenergetics YouTube channel published a big interview, during which experts discussed the hottest industry issues. How did the distributed power generation industry in Russia survive the crisis year of 2021? What is going on in the market right now? Why is business leaving the grid and what can a straightforward opposition to these processes by monopoly companies lead to? What are the prospects for traditional and alternative energy in Russia?

On December 3, in Dubai, as part of the Russian Business Forum and the National Day of Russia at the World Exhibition EXPO-2020, the Distributed Power Generation Association and Business Russia held a panel session «New Age Energy: Global Trends, Challenges and Opportunities». The discussion at the main international business venue — the National Pavilion of Russia — was devoted to the topical industry issues. Is a concept of «green energy» a tribute to fashion or a natural scenario for the development of the planet, are renewable energy sources capable of providing consumers with reliable electricity, or does their «intermittent nature» require close coupling with traditional generation? What is more relevant for business — the environmental agenda or energy efficiency? Is Russia ready in technological, and most importantly mental sense, for energy transition?

The Distributed Power Generation Association and Business Russia are preparing for a large-scale business mission to the United Arab Emirates. The event, organized by Business Ambassador of Business Russia to the UAE, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association Maksim Zagornov, will take place from December 2 to 6. The key event will be the participation of the delegation of the business association in the National Day of Russia at the World Exhibition EXPO-2020 and the international forum «The Russia Forum: driving the future», dedicated to Russian-Arab cooperation. Within the framework of the forum, on December 3, the Distributed Power Generation Association will hold its own panel session «New Age Energy: Global Trends, Challenges and Opportunities». The business mission program also includes visits to the Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD), the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).

On November 30, a round table will take place in Moscow on «Attraction of private investments into the development of distributed power generation in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and Arctic». The expert discussion will be organized by of the Distributed Power Generation Association, Distributed Power Generation Subcommittee of Business Russia and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

Within the framework of the World exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai there were held a field session of the Eastern Economic Forum on «Development of Energy Infrastructure in Remote Areas Using Distributed Generation and Renewable Energy Technologies: the Investment Potential of the Far East and the Arctic». The event was organized by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation jointly with the Distributed Power Generation Association and the All-Russia public organization Business Russia with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Roscongress Foundation.

On November 18 on the sidelines of the World Exhibition EXPO 2020 in Dubai the cooperation agreement between the Distributed Power Generation Association and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation was signed. Organizations intend to cooperate within the scope of investment projects implementation in the field of the distributed generation in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and Arctic as well as on presentation of the Russian Federation as an industry leader at the World Energy Congress in St. Petersburg in 2022.

On November 18, 2021, 15:00 - 16:30 (UAE time), within the framework of the business program of the EXPO 2020 Dubai World Exhibition, a panel session on Development of Energy Infrastructure in Remote Areas Using Distributed Generation and Renewable Energy Technologies: The Investment Potential of the Far East and the Arctic will be held in the conference hall of the National Pavilion of Russia. The event will be organized by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEADC), the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the Distributed Power Generation Association (DPGA) and the All-Russia public organization Business Russia.

The business mission of the All-Russian public organization Business Russia to the United Arab Emirates has been completed. The delegation of Russian entrepreneurs, led by the organization's Business Ambassador to the UAE, President of the Distributed Power Generation Association Maksim Zagornov, successfully performed at the 23^rd International Exhibition on Water Treatment, Energy Technologies and Environmental Protection WETEX-2021 in Dubai. The combined exposition aroused great interest among the exhibitors. In just three days, more than 50 meetings and strategic negotiations with representatives of business and the UAE government took place at the organization's stand. Specific agreements were reached on the development of joint projects in the United Arab Emirates.

The delegation of Business Russia and Distributed Power Generation Association attended the EXPO-2020 World Exhibition within the framework of its business mission to the United Arab Emirates. Sergei Kolushev, the director of Eventica agency, presented the concept of the Russian Pavilion.

On October 6, on the sidelines of the International Exhibition WETEX-2021 in Dubai, the ceremony of awarding the IX International Award Distributed Power Generation — Great Achievements took place. The prestigious industry award from Russia was presented to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) for innovative projects in the field of solar and hydrogen energy, as well as a significant contribution to the development of green energy and the consolidation of efforts for sustainable development.

October 5, the business mission of Business Russia and Distributed Power Generation Association to the International Exhibition on Water Management and Treatment, Energy Production and Environmental Protection WETEX-2021 officially started. The event takes place on the site of the EXPO 2020 World Exhibition and, according to the organizers, gathered more than 10,000 visitors on the first day alone. Business Russia is represented at WETEX by 10 companies that have brought unique developments and technologies to Dubai, many of which have no analogues in the world.

On September 29, on the eve of the Business mission of Business Russia to the 23^rd International Exhibition on Water Management and Treatment, Energy Production and Environmental Protection WETEX-2021, an online session was held where the innovative power projects of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) were presented. Vice President of DEWA Abdul Syed Abdul Hameed made a review report. Russian companies — participants of the business mission — also presented their projects. The special guest of the event was The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber.

On September 29, in anticipation of the Business Russia mission to the 23^rd International Exhibition on Water Treatment, Energy Technologies and Environmental Protection WETEX-2021, an online session will be held, during which innovative energy projects of the Dubai Electricity Authority and water resources (DEWA) will be presented. DEWA Vice President Abdul Syed Abdul Hameed will deliver an overview presentation. Russian companies — participants of the Business Russia mission at WETEX will also present their projects. The event will be broadcast on the website of the Distributed Power Generation Association.

On October 26^th the Subcommittee on Distributed Power Generation of Business Russia and Distributed Power Generation Association will lead the project conference «Own power generation at the enterprise: innovative engineering solutions of leading engineering companies». The event will be held within the business program of the 6^th International specialized exhibition HEAT&POWER in Moscow. The representatives of leading Russian companies and industry organizations will participate in the conference.
